1st TERRIFFIC CBRNe Workshop – Validating scenarios and assessing responders’ needs.

The TERRIFFIC consortium is delighted to announce that the first TERRIFFIC CBRNe Workshop will be held on 6-7 November 2018 at French Fire Brigade National Federation, Paris, France. Organised by project partner TL & Associés, the objective of this workshop is to collect the practitioners’ needs during the first hours of a Radiological, Nuclear, explosive (RNe) incident and define the specifications of the TERRIFFIC System, based on a set of pre-defined scenarios.

Practitioners and other CBRN experts will participate in several interactive working groups  and will address the following areas:

  • WG1: Best available technologies and employment concepts or combined use

  • WG2: Evaluation criteria for sensors and analysis tools
  • WG3: Definition of useful information both on the field and in the Command & Control Unit

The Workshop is by invitation only and will be kindly hosted by the Fédération Nationale des Sapeurs Pompiers Français (French Fire Brigade National Federation) at their offices at 32 rue Breguet, 75011 Paris.

A full report on the outcomes of this important first Workshop will be prepared for the project and the European Commission after the conclusion of the two-day meeting.
